Tradiciones navideñas de Nueva York: Rockefeller Center, Times Square y más.
New York City is one of the most magical places to spend Christmas. Every year, millions of visitors come to see the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This enormous tree is usually a Norway spruce, more than 20 meters tall, and is decorated with over 50,000 lights.
In Times Square, the streets are full of bright lights and holiday decorations. On New Year's Eve, thousands of people gather to watch the famous ball drop at midnight.
Central Park becomes a winter wonderland with an ice skating rink at Wollman Rink. Families go ice skating and then drink hot chocolate to warm up.
The department stores on Fifth Avenue, such as Macy's, Saks, and Bloomingdale's, create spectacular window displays that tell holiday stories. People walk along the avenue to admire these beautiful windows.
Another popular tradition is watching The Nutcracker ballet at the Lincoln Center, or visiting the Christmas markets at Bryant Park and Union Square, where you can buy handmade gifts and try delicious food from around the world.
